ATM Closures, latest update

Click the link below to download data on ATM closures between July and August 2018. The spreadsheet contains the following variables: Number of free ATMs closed; Number of fee-paying ATMs closed; Total ATMs closed.

The data is presented for two geographical units: Westminster parliamentary constituencies in Great Britain and the regions/countries within Great Britain.

Broadband access and availability

Click the link below to download broadband data for where you live. The spreadsheet contains the following variables: Average broadband speed (Mbits/s); Comparison with the national average speed; Median download speed; Minimum download speed; Maximum download speed; % of premises with Super-fast broadband; % of premises with Ultra-fast broadband; % of premises which are unable to reach 10 Mbits/s (the DCMS minimum target); % of premises unable to reach the 30 MBits/s.

The data is presented in three geographical units: A list of over 6,000 villages, towns and cities across Britain; Westminster parliamentary constituencies; Local Authorities. You can also use an interactive element which uploads the villages and towns in each constituency.

Access to health services

Click the link below to download the Access To Health data for towns in England, Scotland and Wales. This data comes from the Consumer Data Research Centre and is provided by the CDRC at the Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) level. The Centre For Towns has created their own lookup files to convert the data from LSOA geographies to towns. This data is the latest available for the year 2016.

Travel times to health services in England

Click the link below to download the average travel times to local health services in towns across England. Average travel times to your local GP, A & E department, dentist and pharmacy are included. This data is published by the Department for Transport and is then converted to town geographies by the Centre For Towns.

Click the link below to download our spreadsheet showing how many people use railways stations across Britain. The data covers each year from 2011/12 through to the latest release of 2016/17 and you can see our interactive map under the Maps tab above. This data is published by the Office for Rail and Road.
